Here’s a fun fact about Dom, that you probably didn’t know – he’s a product of the Singapore National Football Academy.
Born in Singapore, to Malaysian parents, Dominic was quick to realise where his loyalties lied, and made the decision to don the Harimau Malaya jersey in 2014.
He was part of the Harimau Muda C team that competed in the FAM league in the 2015 season, and represented the country at U19 level.
Upon completion of the season, Dominic’s performances in the league, and nationally for the U19 team, attracted interest from multiple clubs. He then ended up choosing to sign with JDT, playing for their second team in the Malaysian Premier League.
Within a short period, he was called up to the JDT squad, and remained there until he was sent out on loan to Portugal with Vilaverdense. That stint lasted just 6 months, before he was recalled by JDT, and was in their squad till the end of the season.
In 2019, Dominic was sent out, yet again, on loan abroad, this time to Thailand with Police Tero. Dominic was an important member of the squad for the 2 years he was there, and in that time established himself as a regular within the Malaysian national team squad.
2022 brought a new adventure for Dominic, but this time in his home country. Led by Ong Kim Swee, the Sabah project was one that Dominic couldn’t say no to, and he finds himself a key player in the newly promoted side.
